Will Eisner gifted this realm with the term sequential art to describe the use of images in a specific order—for the purpose of controlling minds. With a series of graphic patterns, one can quite literally create illusions that force men and women to want, need, covet, understand, or worship.

Clip spots (:10 - :30 second commercials using footage NOT intended to be :10 - :30 second commercials) are the easiest possible kind of promos to make—in theory.

But theories are for people who never change their ringtone from Maramba.

Making “art out of art” can just as easily slip into cliche and and convention, especially when the finished puzzle is at the mercy of what pieces are available. This is much less a problem with The Simpsons.
